Free park entrance for veterans

Effective this Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, U.S. veterans qualify for free entrance to all 20 San Mateo County Parks. At its November meeting, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors revised the current Parks Department fee structure to waive the $6 vehicle entrance for any veteran who provides proof of veteran status. Proof of status may include the new San Mateo County Veteran Identification Card, veteran identification cards issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and a state issued driver’s license or identification card showing veteran designation.
