Matching gifts are a form of corporate philanthropy where companies match their employees’ charitable donations to eligible nonprofits.
Many employers will match tax-deductible charitable contributions made not only by their employees but also retirees and employees’ spouses. Some provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours.
