SMC Parks/Sam McDonald History Hike
February 11 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Sam McDonald Park was named after Sam (Emanuel) McDonald, descendent of enslaved persons. From 1917 until his death in 1957, he acquired more than 400 acres which he bequeathed for public use. The hike will lead to his former home, a two room cabin, which still stands today.
Approximately 4-mile hike on a trail with strenuous inclines and declines.
