Pillar Point Bluff is a gorgeous coastal park, with scenic views of the ocean and a variety of trails popular with hikers and dog walkers alike. If you want to help protect this habitat, or just spend some time doing good while enjoying the beautiful scenery, come join SMC Parks staff and volunteers as we remove a variety of invasive plant species from the park! Please register in advance.
The coastal sand dunes along Linda Mar Beach are among the most dynamic and fragile natural formations relying on a commitment to protecting and preserving them. Restoring this landscape involves removing non-native invasive plants and weeds (i.e., ice plant, mustard and ox tongue) to make way for planting coastal native plants (i.e., beach sage, seaside daisy and strawberry) to maintain, increase and sustain biodiversity. Please register in advance.
