Springtime Wildflower Walks | Free Parks Shuttle    Edgewood’s serpentine grasslands are renowned throughout California for their lush wildflower carpets and rich biodiversity. You might see dozens of species of flowers on a single walk! Our free walks vary according to what’s in bloom—covering about 3 miles, at a moderate pace, with frequent stops. Heavy rain cancels hikes. Groups of 10 or more Groups of 10 or more should make a reservation. For group reservations, please email docent-coordinator@friendsofedgewood.org When In 2018, there will be walks every Saturday and Sunday, from March 10 through June 3. Walks begin at 10:00 AM and end around 1:00 PM. The walks schedule for 2018 will be posted soon. Where to meet Walks start from the Bill and Jean Lane Education Center at the main entrance off of Edgewood Road (red star on map) every weekend throughout the season. On Saturdays in April, walks also start from the Clarkia Trailhead on Cañada Road (blue dot on map below). Parking Parking is limited.  Carpool when possible. Allow extra time to park. Use extreme caution if parking on the street. Wherever you park, do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
